Estonian Operating Room Nurses Association
Our aim
The Estonian Operating Nurses Association – EstORNA (Eesti Operatsiooniõdede Ühing – EOpÕÜ) is a voluntary and independent association of operating nurses, the aim of which is to develop operating nursing in Estonia.
- Improving the professional knowledge and level of education of operating nurses
- Valuing the professional work of operating nurses in society, the application of professional principles in professional activities
- Exchange of experience and information on the professional activities of its members
- To the further development of the specialty
- To enhance international co-operation and exchange of best practices between countries
History
The idea of creating the association dates back to mid 1990s. On May 23, 2001, the Estonian Operating Nurses Association was officially registered as a non-profit organization. As of the end of 2025, there are 179 members in the association.
